Faulty Engines Possibly Plaguing 137,000 Lexus Models

Following Toyota’s announcement of faulty engines on some of its models, Lexus has confirmed the said statement by saying that approximately 137,000 of its vehicles in the U.S. are also “potentially affected.”

This statement was released after the carmaker found faulty valve springs in certain V8 and V6 models. According to Lexus, one possible reason would be the contamination of the said parts with foreign materials during production. No news of recall has been issued yet, although Toyota is said to have been making moves to find a solution to this new problem.

Some of the Lexus models affected by this problem are the IS 350, GS models (350, 460, and 450h), and LS models (460 and 600h L). Vehicle owners are advised to contact their nearest dealer in case they experience problems with their ride.
