Reports say that the Buick GS is going to production. The GS was first previewed at the Detroit Auto Show, a vehicle featuring a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that can generate 255 horsepower. It’s an all-wheel drive model that comes with a 6-speed manual option.
If the reports are true, we can expect the GS to be at dealerships sometime next year, almost similar to what was shown at the Detroit Show except for a change on the seat – the Recaro sports seat is said to be replaced with a more luxurious one. Let’s see what comes next.

The readers have chosen, and among the top choices are two Cadillac models: the CTS Coupe and the Platinum XTS Concept. During the North American International Auto Show, 100 readers have picked their favorites among all the cars present. Of the 11 Reader’s Choice awards offered, Cadillac received two.
The said event has been a tradition to Detroit News every time the North American International Auto Show is held. One hundred readers are given the opportunity to see the cars at the show and then to choose their favorites.
This year, the readers have chosen the Cadillac CTS Coupe as the Best in Show vehicle while the Best Future Fantasy Award has been given to the Cadillac Platinum XTS Concept.
The CTS Coupe is a car that combines luxury and performance. With its 556 horses and good looks, it’s got to be a real killer on the road. And, buyers don’t have to wait because it’s going to be available in spring this year.
Meanwhile, the Platinum XTS Concept has a natural charm that has swayed the readers to its side with no effort at all. Its luxurious features and its hybrid propulsion technology make it a real winner.

Bentley is at the Detroit Auto Show this year for two special reasons, one of which is to launch the 2010 Bentley Mulsanne, its flagship sedan. The Mulsanne is unlike any other vehicle, even unlike other Bentley models, in many ways. It exudes exclusivity at its finest and luxury at its best.
The color choices alone are already confusing because of their great number. Just take a look at the following color palettes:
• 114 paint colors
• 21 carpet colors
• 24 interior leather hides
• Nine wood veneers
A single model alone requires nine weeks to build due to more standard leather and wood veneer incorporated in the said model. Under its hood, you’ll find a 6.75-liter V8 engine that is capable of generating 505 horses and 725 lb-ft of torque.
With more power and more luxury, it’s no wonder the Bentley Mulsanne comes with a $285,000 starting price. If you want this exclusivity and you have the money, the Mulsanne will come to showrooms in the fall this year.

First introduced in the Detroit auto show last year as a vehicle concept, the 2010 Lincoln MKT is officially launched in this year’s Detroit Auto Show. A twin to the three-row Ford Flex, the MKT is Lincoln’s largest crossover utility vehicle that is capable of seating up to seven passengers.
However, despite this orientation towards function, it successfully retained luxury and ride comfort with the following features:
- one-touch power-folding rear seats (optional)
- glass roof (a sliding version is available)
- paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel
- acrylic-faced gauge bezels
- center console running from the front and bisecting the rear bucket seats
- second-row refrigerator (optional)
- MyKey, a feature that allows restriction of top speed and audio volume
- HID headlamps that swivel to illuminate upcoming turns and automatic high beams that light up when there are no other vehicles in range
- rearview camera
- blind spot warning info
And despite sharing platform with the Ford Flex, the Lincoln MKT stands on its own and has unique characteristics not found in its Ford version. The grille is distinctively larger and the MKT gets full-width tail lights.
And when it comes to performance, the MKT is available with two powertains: a 3.7L 267-hp V6 engine and a 350-hp twin turbo version. The first is offered with either a front- or all-wheel drive but the latter is only available with an all-wheel drive. The transmission is automatic, but the paddle shifters on the steering wheel allow manual control.
For function and luxury combined, the Lincoln MKT is perfect. It’s a luxury vehicle that’s ideal for family or group travels.
